[Review] Ectropy Science

Ectropy Science was founded by Dr. Walter Thompson and Dr. Beverly Franklin-Thompson in 2007. Ectropy is defined as making order out of chaos—and our goal is to simplify the learning process and spread the joy and knowledge of science to as many children and parents as possible. When our children showed great interest in science early on in elementary school, we began to volunteer in classrooms and at science & technology museums to help teachers turn dry science lessons into captivating hands on experiences.  We wanted to find a way to bring that experience into the home, to get kids off the couch, putting down the video games and getting them excited about science by actually interacting with it. As a result, we developed Secret Science Team Kits—and found other science-oriented products—that maximize fun and education.

Secret Science Team Missions – Case File #1001

I got this kit, and I didn’t know what to expect. It came with a lil of everything to make your own science kit. Its pretty cool actually. These would be fun at a birthday party! The tubes, the check list, the magnify glass, the whole kit is pretty awesome. It comes with paper/DVDs whole thing. We just mixed it all together and made a huge mess lol. We also kinda added vinegar and bleach to make it a lil more fun but messy. I had a fun time with it, we all did. Kit is very travelable and its all plastic so nothing fragile. The ingredients aren’t harmful if swallowed. Kit is very detailed and very understanding. Boys of the older age would love there own kit makes you feel like your a REAL scientist!
