[Review] Cowgirl Chocolates

Spicy & Mild Assorted

Cowgirl Chocolates Head Cowgirl Marilyn Lysohir founded Cowgirl Chocolates in 1997. Her two favorite things in the world are art (she has a notable career as a ceramic sculptor) and chocolate. In fact her first job was working in a chocolate factory in Pennsylvania. Marilyn mingled some favorite memories with some new ideas to create an American original, Cowgirl Chocolates…chocolates with a spicy cowgirl kick. She was the pioneer, one of the first companies to offer spicy chocolates in the world. Cowgirl Chocolates has won a total of 19 product awards and 2 packaging awards and is located in Moscow, Idaho USA. It has also been featured on the Food Network on “Unwrapped” and “Extreme Cuisine” and on CNBC “On the Money”. They have also been written up in the New York Times, InStyle, the Toronto Star among others. The Original Cowgirl – May Lillie Born a physician’s daughter in Philadelphia in the late 1800’s, May Manning left society life in Philadelphia at age 14 to marry Major Gordon “Pawnee Bill” Lillie. It all came about when in 1883 Gordon Lillie was assigned by the Indian Commissioner to take charge of the Pawnees who had been hired to appear in The Buffalo Bill Cody Wild West Show.

They have a pretty huge selection of chocolates! They range from Milk Chocolate to Spicy Chocolate! They have tins of candy as well as caramels too! They even have a shop too! They even have Spicy hot caramel sauce to yummy! They have gift set too, for those special occasions!

I received the Spicy/Mild Chocolate pack! I didn’t expect them to be spicy, but wow, they were. It didn’t hit you at first, tell at the end, and lasted for a long time. So I had my husband and brother in law try them since they are a super spicy fans! My Brother in law was like these arnt spicy, tell it finally kicked in, and he’s like wow these are yummy spicy! Then my husband had the caramel one and the mild ones! He loved the caramel one! It didn’t hit him tell the end too, and he was amazed, he loved the flavor of the lemon and raspberry chocolate ones! These were our very firsts trying spicy chocolate candies, and this company has it made!
