[Review] 20 Second Fitness

20 Second Fitness is based on the work of Dr. Izumi Tabata. In 1996 Dr. Tabata tested the 20/10 (20 seconds on, 10 seconds off) high-intensity workout using Olympic speed skaters. His results found that the 20/10 system built endurance and muscle strength and produced better results when compared to athletes training withtraditional workouts

Disc X: Start Here Teaches you the proper form and technique for all of the exercises you will be doing in the program. It also shows you different variations to each exercise so whether it’s your first workout in years or you’re an elite athlete you will know how to make the program work for you!

Disc W: Warm up – 12 workouts Twelve different workouts that take you through your first two weeks. These two weeks will get you used to the exercises, concentrating on proper form and building your intensity in a safe manner to minimize soreness and fatigue.

Disc 1 – 4: 24 workouts Over the next four weeks you have 24 new workouts. That’s 6 new workouts each week. Each day of the week you will target a different muscle group. Each week is more focused and difficult than the week before. At the end of these 4 weeks you will be amazed at how much leaner, stronger and more energized you are!

Recovery: 4 workouts After completing your first cycle you get a much needed recovery week to let your body rebuild and re-energize. On disc X there are 4 recovery workouts. They are low intensity and are going to be a breeze.

20 Second Fitness

Week 1: Was a bit on the body trying to get used to the different levels of strengths and jumping. My arms and body were sore and was good warm up. I lost about 200 calories and a pound.

week 2: This time around was bit more of a difference for sure as I got used to the equipment and my body sure was used to it. I watches what I ate and I lost about a few pounds this time around. The arm stretch bands were the hardest of them all but sure were helping my damaged shoulder.

week 3:This one was a bit of a delay cause my son’s open heart surgery so I only got to the do the jump rope while he was watching TV and of course gained from the stress and not to healthy hospital food.

week 4: This one is a few days since we got home and I got to do the DVD’s, ropes, and jumping, and I dropped all the calories down finally. My body sure was worked out, but boy it sure felt amazing!

week 5: By this time, all the exercises were in my brain and I new what steps to take and what to do, that I new when to do what. My body was able to not hurt so much and it felt amazing and I need to do this more often.

week 6: All in all this was a much easier fitness package then most and it introduces you into them slower and easier that your body doesn’t feel so warn out by the end of the 2nd week. I do this now without the DVD’s on a daily basis at night of course when my kids are in bed and have time. The whole package comes in a bag that you can travel with easy, take it anywhere and even the gym. Or take it to a friends and help work out with you. The package is nice and the company gets it out to you so fast! I wasn’t able to do a week by week by itself with the wedding and my son’s open heart surgery but gave you a tease of the greatness of this product and is way worth it over those other one’s that make your body hurt way too soon!
