I had the pleasure of receiving a bottle of Purity Vodka for review and to include in our Mother’s Day Gift Guide. This specific bottle is from the 97th batch and bottle number 9698. This Purity Vodka has won over 100 gold medals in under a decade and is made from organic winter wheat and barley. It is handmade in a copper and gold still and distilled 34 times total. I love using vodka in my mixed drinks. This Purity Vodka is so smooth and delicious that it is perfect for mixing in my drinks. It is 80 proof and imported. I went on Purity Vodkas website because I wanted to try some of the cocktail recipes listed and absolutely loved most of the ones I got to try out. My favorite is the Watermelon Splash and it is listed below:
Watermelon Splash
- 3 oz Watermelon-infused Purity® Vodka
- 1 1/2 oz watermelon juice*
- 6 drops Angostura bitters
Place two ounces fresh cubed watermelon into an iSi Gourmet Whip canister with Purity® Vodka. Double charge, let sit for two minutes. Rapidly release gas and allow to sit until bubbling subsides. Strain out solids. Add all ingredients to highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with a Purity® Vodka-infused watermelon cube.
Overall I really enjoyed this vodka. I enjoyed experimenting with cocktail recipes on the website as well as making my own drinks. It is perfect mixed with orange juice, delicious mixed in with clear sodas and I especially like to diffuse it in fruit juice with fruit pieces. It is so smooth and delicious and a perfect way to celebrate mom this Mother’s Day!
