Playmates Toys for the Holidays!

About them: Founded in Hong Kong in 1966, Playmates Toys is one of the leading toy marketers in the world today. Over the past 45 years, Playmates has brought to market a number of toy brands that defined generations of kids, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Waterbabies, Star Trek, Simpsons, Space Jam, Nano, and the Amazing dolls, among others.

My kids and I had the pleasure of receiving a few toys from Playmates Toys to review and include in our Holiday Gift Guide this year.  The first of these toys was the Kuroba! Battle Pack. This is for ages 6 and up includes two transforming creatures, two creation gems and three mix and match panels. I had actually never even heard of this toy before and either had my kids so we were all eager to see what it was all about. After playing with them we discovered it is an even funner way to play the classic game of rock, paper, scissors. You first must select your battle mode by moving the tab on the creature to either rock, paper, or scissors. Next you turn your Kuroba Creature inside out and lock it into place so you are ready to battle. Then you and your opponent slide them into each other. One will pop open and one will not and that’s how you get the winner. There are a lot of Kuroba creatures to collect along with gems. You can mix and match the panels and make thousands of different combinations. We ended up getting Pegaplant and Lullacry. There are different Kuroba too, including Terra Kuro, Water Kuro, Ice Kuro, Night Kuro, Fire Kuro and the Rare Kuro so plenty to collect!

The next toys from Playmates Toys were two Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Figures. These are perfect for kids aged 4 and up. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were a huge part of my childhood so I have been so happy to see that my kids love them as much as I did growing up. When these came in the mail I could not contain my excitement because my kids probably even love Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles more than I did and I knew they would love these! We received a Donatello and a Michelangelo Figurine and each came with their very own accessories. Donatello The Tech Wiz came with a transforming bo-staff, some of the little ninja stars and more! Michelangelo The Wild Card came with a skateboard, ninja stars, Kusari-Fundo and nun chucks. They are each pose-able and can hold their own weapons. Michelangelo can even ride his skateboard. These are both fun interactive toy figures and especially good for those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lovers out there! There are so many of these awesome TMNT figurines to collect too! These toys would all make exceptional gifts for your little loves this holiday season and I highly recommend them!

Disclosure: I received these products for free, in exchange for my honest review, which may differ from yours. Regardless, I only recommend products and services I used personally, and believe will be a good fit for consumers.
