My kids love Play-Doh so they are always excited to get a new set. When they saw the Play-Doh Shape & Learn sets they just had to have one. We got the Textures and Tools set to review and it is a really neat set that comes with 3 Texture Stampers, 3 Rollers, 3 Double Sided Play mats, Scissors, a Stylus, 2 Rolling Cutters, 6 Cans of Play-Doh and a Together Time Guide. The Together Time Guide is pretty cool. It has activities that start off more basic to more advanced so each time you play you can customize it. It shows you fun ways of playing and interacting with your child together. Whether you are talking about and exploring textures, comparing them to other textures, incorporating different textures into the same picture, designing clothes or cutting pieces of a pie or pizza into equal pieces, this set gives your kiddo everything they need to learn about shapes. The play mats are fun because they help give your child a diagram of all these shapes and such. They can cut the shapes to create more shapes and get creative while they are learning. My girls are 4 and 6 years old and both really love Play-Doh. This set has been fun for both of them but I really see it benefiting my 4 year old. She knows all her shapes but this has helped her fine tune her knowledge and has really helped fine tune her motor skills. She really loves to make pizza and pies with the rolling cutters. She also loves to make pictures on the mats and loves all the sensory play. It is a great set that is not only fun, but educational. It is a perfect toy for Summertime fun and learning!
