I received a DVD and Digital HD copy of Papa: Hemingway in Cuba for review. It has a feature running time of 110 minutes. This movie is about Ed Myers, a Miami journalist and aspiring writer, traveling to Havana to meet Ernest Hemingway, his long time idol. It takes place in 1959 while the Cuban Revolution is going on. The two become friends and Hemingway ends up mentoring Ed as they go on deep sea fishing adventures, drink and helps him to find his literary voice. This is a great tale of Ernest Hemingway and I really enjoyed it! It really takes you on a side by side journey through Hemingway’s life in a way you have never seen before. I love the way this movie pulls you in and captivates your attention. I honestly didn’t think I would enjoy it as much as I did and I am so happy I had the opportunity to watch it! It came out on DVD on October 25th. I highly recommend Papa: Hemingway in Cuba if you would like a true story that takes you into the life of Ernest Hemingway.
Disclosure: I received this product for free, in exchange for an honest review, which may differ from yours. Regardless, I only recommend products and services I used personally, and believe will be a good fit for consumers.
