I recently started my weight loss journey again so have been trying to keep diligent when it comes to portion control. I had an old scale that wouldn’t tare anymore so I was pretty excited to get this Ozeri Digital Kitchen Scale. My first impression based solely on looks is that it was going to be a beautiful addition to my kitchen. It is sleek and elegant looking. I also loved that the top is a tempered glass and has no grooves or anything that food can get stuck in. This makes wiping it down quick and easy. Using it is super simple. It only has two touch buttons. One is the on button that also serves to tare your scale and the other is the unit button which changes the measurements from grams, ounces, milliliters or pounds. The scale itself can measure up to 12 pounds which is a pretty substantial amount. I have not yet needed to measure anything in that quantity yet but I have measured several pounds of raw chicken to portion it out and freeze it in smaller portions and it works quite well! I just add an empty bowl to the top then tare it so it zeros out and it’s ready to go. I love the large LCD screen too. It is easy to read in almost every area of my kitchen, included the areas with poor lighting. I use this scale daily to measure out my meal portions and just love it. I also love the Calorie Guide it comes with! It is in alphabetical order and comes with a ton of quick portions and calories per portion for different foods. It is a great guide to have on hand especially when trying to make healthier choices in my weight loss journey.
