Ow I Robot Review + Christmas Guide

Simply sitting a child down and teaching them about alternative energy will not necessarily ignite their enthusiasm or interest in the topic. Nor will having them read about it as a sole strategy, not when so many children are reluctant, struggling readers, or kinesthetic learners. Although science kits are helpful, they often depend on expert guidance and have limited play value – which is a tough sell when parents and educators are competing with TV, video games, the Internet, and a host of modern distractions. Instead, a host of science-based, interactive children’s toys on the market are being used to teach children about alternative energy concepts like solar, wind, and “green” vehicles, in a fun, hands-on way.

Robot Kit

Ow I Robots is a company that offers kits, make your own anything. I ended up saving this one for the boys for Christmas time, because when I opened it, it was totally something my nerdy husband would love doing with Winston Christmas day with the uncles. The kit inside comes with everything you need, instructions, everything is nicely wrapped up, so you know everything is there. The pieces are all plastic and some are very small, and some are bigger. It looks like something that will take a couple of hours or less depending how fast you’re. This is for 8+ of age, so if you do it with the younger kids, be sure to supervise when they are. Kit makes 3 kinds of robots and also be creative and make your own robot. This kit will be so much fun to put together, Winston is going to love this kit very much, he is super smart like his father. You will need batteries, extra on hand, this kits moves and makes noises, just to add to more of the fun!
