#NSNation Week One Journey With Nutrisystem

Untitled-1The first week into the Nutrisystem we do the fast 5 box, its like fasting in a box. You get a box filled with food that can only be eaten for the week. I took mine on vacation when we went to Lake Chelan. It was so hard to not cave and eat junk food since we were on a 8 day vacation. I followed the rules per the box, and ate what I was supposed to when and it was a challenge. I never eat much due to a dang nauseous thing I get after I eat food. So this was a fun challenge to force myself to eat and certain portion amount for a week. The food is quite different from what we all are used to eating daily so I had to adjust to the taste, amount, and adding veggies and fruits with the meals. The box came with just about one of everything found in the normal food crates. But only eat so little. It was hard, adjusting to the time, the amount. My body felt weak at first, taste was hard to bare. Had problems with headaches and feeling tired. By day 3 that all passed and was easier to do. Glad to have that box done. Now my body adjusts to the normal food easier.

As you can see here this is what we were given for 5 days to eat. Not much in the box, some the bigger boxes 3 of them were put out, but it was small portion and pantry food type of items and small, small portions. My starting weight is 160. I was able to get down to 155 from the fast five box. It was a struggle but totally worth it in the end. Since we were on vacation and I completed it and lost some weight. On day 6 my husband spoiled me to a $80 dollar dress for working so hard not to cave or cheat.

Day 6 of Fast Five

As you can see above I lost some good weight on vacation in my arms and face. This was not an easy process and I still have 3 months to go. With the crates of pantry and frozen food. My goal is 130 from 160 and I am determined to complete this and lose the weight from having 2 boys and be back to my normal weight. Losing it isn’t easy my husband and I both struggle with it. It helps when you have a system and keep at it. Having a partner to help you along with the process is very motivating and easier, so you wont cave or cheat. I will say its worth it once you and your body adjusts to the food. It’s not easy and requires extra work out your daily life, and mostly keeping with it.

Some pro’s.
–This is all made for you, and packaged so you don’t need to add much just fruits and veggies. Drink water, Diet soda or the shakes and smoothies that come with it.
–Does have one drink the energy one that is like coffee with caffeine to help cure the headaches if you’re not doing soda with the system. I’m guilty I love soda.
— Another con is that this doesn’t require much effort, just need to keep up with the daily system and follow the little book for what to eat and drink and when you eat out what to order and not to order as well, which I love. Show you all food types.

Con’s
— It’s hard to adjust to the flavor of the foods at first, but you will get used to it quickly
— The portions are very small than what your used to eating, and no cheating
— Lastly some require you to make the food, like the pizza, come with the bread, sauce and cheese and you have to do it, and makes it hard not to add anything else to it.

All in all the fast five was pretty smooth and went by pretty quickly and I was glad it was over so I can start on the other food that looks good. Pasta’s, ice cream bars/treats, and candy bars. I did get headache, sleepy, and a bit cranky through the process, but I was awarded in the end for doing good, and it made it all better!Untitled-1

  • Wow, great job! I know the Fast5 was tough but it seems like that results were worth it. Love the new dress too

  • Congrats on your weight loss! I look forward to following your journey. The hardest part for me was making myself eat breakfast. I’m not a morning eater!
