About Them: At Nielsen-Massey Vanillas, we have been crafting the world’s finest vanillas and flavors since 1907. Founded by Richard Massey, who later partnered with Chatfield Nielsen, Sr, our company is still a family-owned operation run by the third generation of Nielsens: CEO Craig Nielsen, COO Matt Nielsen and Chief Culinary Officer, Director-International Beth Nielsen. Having grown up with the company and amidst the rich aroma of vanilla, they’ve spent their entire lives learning, studying and researching the best methods to produce pure flavors as well as how to achieve the best results in recipes and applications.
Nielsen-Massey has a wonderful cooking and baking line of products. I got some on the baking line, some vanilla extract, lemon extract and some vanilla beans. All 4 bottles are amazing. They smell so good and very strong as they should. Great for baking the cookies taste amazing, lemon is good in cookies, cake, muffins with the lemon flavor! The vanilla beans we added into pineapple chunks and let the 2 sit in juice and made some very tasty pineapple juice. The formula’s are great on the 3 of them, they smell great, they are thick in flavor but very strong in liquid form, great for everything. I love to bake, while my husband loves to cook so balances out right, and these have done amazing in almost everything we made, and tried out for the first time. These extracts are on the more fancy expensive, but not too expensive side, but way more worth it then buying the old school red box one, cause the extracts rule way better then that one. The bottles are pretty big so you will get a good amount of baking in them.
