About them: While Nettie’s officially opened it’s doors in 2014, our story dates back much further than that. It’s the culmination of years of experience, creative drive, and appreciation for the products of creativity, hard work and persistence. With his urge to bake and create, Joe turned his woodshed into a kitchen, and every Christmas, along with his children, he’d bake cookies and bread to be delivered to friends and family around town. Of course, no Christmas baking session was complete without talk of re-opening a bakery. And it’s that passion that led to the creation of Nettie’s.
My family loves homemade baked goods and with the holidays upon us we are always looking for a tasty treat to bring to all our family gatherings. That is why I was super excited to receive some delicious baked goods from Nettie’s Country Bakery to try out and include in our Holiday Gift Guide this year! There were so many good looking treats to pick from so it was a hard decision but I finally decided on the 12 Piece Sampler, Aunt Anne’s Tea Cookies and the Pound Cake Sampler. They all came in a nice bakery box and were hand-tied with classic bakers twine. The Pound Cake Sampler came with three Pound Cakes. They included Old-Fashioned Pound Cake, Chocolate Marble Pound Cake, and Banana Walnut Pound Cake and all of them were absolutely delicious! They all came individually wrapped which is perfect for if you want to take them to gatherings or give them as gifts. We had our family Thanksgiving dinner a bit early this year because it was the only time the whole family could make it and I took these and they were a huge hit and everyone loved them! The Aunt Anne’s Tea Cookies came in a 1/2 pound box and they were my absolute favorite! I have to admit that I kept them for myself and didn’t share more than a couple! These were the perfect size, texture and perfect deliciousness! The 12 Piece Sampler was an awesome assortment! It had two 4 oz Rudy’s Brownies, two 4 oz Ruth Weber’s Coffee Cakes, two 4 oz Old-Fashioned Crumb Cakes, three 5 oz Oatmeal Raisin Cookies and three Chocolate Chip Cookies. Every single one of these sweet treats were amazingly delicious and huge in size! One cookie was able to be shared among all three of my kids and I which was nice! The Cakes and Brownie are soft and moist and the Cookies are thick and tasty! All of the baked goods from Nettie’s Country Bakery are hand made from scratch and my entire family thought they were delicious! They don’t contain any preservatives. Ours didn’t last long enough, but you can put them in the freezer if you don’t want to eat them right away or keep them for up to 7 days from the day they were baked for the best freshness! We loved the baked goodies we received from Nettie’s Country Bakery and cant wait to order more for all our Christmas parties and festivities!
