About Them: The first Music & Arts was located in a small house in Bethesda, MD and run by founder Benjamin O’Brien. Since its beginning in 1952, Music & Arts has expanded nationwide, providing all things musical – lessons, instruments, rentals, repairs, accessories, books, and more! With the O’Brien family still running the business, we have become the largest band and orchestra instrument retailer in the country.
Music & Arts sent us a Ukulele for the boys. This house is full of musicians, husband in a band, grandpa and uncles as well, they all grew up with it all. So now its been growing with our boys. This is a really nice ukulele for the price it costs. Comes all stringed, sorta tuned, and ready to use. The strings are plastic which is great for kids, those metal ones, can be quite painful for little hands. The wood is done out awesome, soft, smooth and the shape is perfect for little hands. The Ukulele sounds wonderful and plays well. I love the style of this ukulele, the color, the half triangle under the head and the ring around the hole. My husband even tried it out and had fun playing it. This one is much bigger than the one my parent’s got our kids from Hawaii. Great sturdy, durable ukulele, long lasting, and very fun to play.
