Her quest is to raise $1 million for Mitochondrial Disease awareness. Her ultimate goal is to help find a cure. Six-year-old Gavin Lawrey The Mighty Mito Superhero has been through more blood work, diagnostic testing and doctor’s appointments than most adults could imagine. To Gavin, hospital visits and medication make up just another day in his life. There are few physicians that actively care for Mito patients and a very limited understanding of the disease. For a mother that can relate to the relation of special needs, being sick and having issues that are a gift from god. Our 6 year old whom can’t walk or talk and is a little mini me. His brain doesn’t function properly and makes it hard for him to do tasks. He has a very rare duplication on the X chromosome. Something he got from me, and I got from my mom. So this book is very touching because I can relate to all the things she goes through like we do everyday. If you’re a mom who can relate check out the book Mighty Mito SuperheroMighty Mito Superhero was published via Amazon’s CreateSpace.

This paper back book that has more than ten pages, every page is colorful and full of words about the boy and how he lives his life and how they deal with the process. This isn’t quite a night-time reading book, more so read about the little boys adventure from his disease. Since I am a mommy who can relate this is a great book for any mother out there that has some special boy or girl in their life fighting for something. The sweetest part of this book his sister wrote this book inspired by her super hero brother. We need more books like these in the world. It’s always so different from their perspective then ours being an adult vs a kiddo. This book since it is written in a childs words, it is easier for kids to be able to understand easier! Great book, proceeds go to hope for a cure and some very proud parents!
