Lion Guard

About them: Disney’s adventure The Lion Guard continues with Simba and Nala’s second-born cub, Kion, and his Lion Guard team as they protect the Circle of Life! Follow our group of unlikely heroes: Bunga the honey badger, Fuli the cheetah, Beshte the hippo and Ono the egret. Join this heroic band as they use their unique abilities to protect the Pride Lands and maintain the Circle of Life. This series also features Simba, the spirit of Mufasa and the hilarious antics of Timon and Pumbaa.

My kids and I were super excited to receive a DVD copy of The Lion Guard: Life in the Pride Lands for review. My favorite Disney movie of all time is The Lion King and my kids have loved The Lion Guard just as much since it came out. This DVD brings all the Lion Guard characters back. Bunga, the honey badger, Fuli the Cheetah, Beshte the hippo, Ono the egret and Kion, the lion cub join forces to protect the pride lands. It has a feature running time of 115 minutes and includes 5 episodes! The episodes include The Rise of Makuu, The Kupatana Celebration, Bunga and the King, Never Roar Again and The Imaginary Okapi. In the Rise of Makuu, the crocodile leader and Makuu battle to see who will take charge of their kind. The Kupatana Celebration episode allows jackals to roam the pridelands during their celebration. Bunga and the King is a hilarious episode where Simba falls into a sink hole. Bunga jumps in and they both have to deal with each other until they are rescued. All these episodes and the others are jam packed with action adventure. My kids just love them and they really love all the songs and music. The bonus features are pretty good too. They include two music videos and 6 short films. This DVD also comes with five free wristbands with all the characters names and characteristics on them. They are fun colors and my kids adore them. If you have Lion Guard lovers in your home then this is the perfect DVD to add to your collection! I highly recommend it! It came out on January 10th!

I also had the pleasure of receiving several Lion Guard goodies with the movie as well. We received a plush Kion, a Kion kids umbrella, The Lion Guard First Look and Find Book and a Figuring Playset! My kids were elated to receive these extra toys to go with their movie. The Plush Kion is super soft and all three of my kids love it! It looks just like Kion from The Lion Guard and has become my son’s favorite toy. The Figurine Playset has 6 figurines in all. They include Simba, Kion, Timone with Pumba, Fuli, Bunga and Beshte with Ono. These are great for interactive play and for a collector. I am using them as cake toppers before my kids get to keep them. The First Look and Find Book is awesome! It is a large board book and perfect for younger kids! It tells a story and gives kids pictures to find in each page. The Umbrella is super cute and has been a life saver with the stormy weather we have been having. It has ears and Kions tuft of hair on it. My kids adore it! All of these special toys and products can be found at the Disney Store!

Disclosure: I received these products for free, in exchange for my honest review, which may differ from yours. Regardless, I only recommend products and services I used personally, and believe will be a good fit for consumers.
