About them: In 2001, while babysitting my baby niece and using an analog audio monitor, I was very unsatisfied with the sound quality and the range. In that moment of inspiration, our first baby video monitor was born. Less than a year later we brought the first wireless, hand-held and full-color baby video monitor in the world to market. I had the pleasure of receiving the Levana Ovia PTZ Baby Video Monitor for review. So far I love it! It has an easy to use touch panel menu navigation that makes checking on your little one effortless! It says it can go up to 750 feet without any interruptions in the signal but I have been able to go up to 900 feet with absolutely no problems whatsoever. I love the two way communication feature and the fact that it has a built in photo and video monitoring system. It comes with a 2gb Micro SD card and adapter but we upgraded to a larger 32gb Micro SD card just for convenience reasons. This monitor also plays three lullabies which none of my other monitors have ever done so I am very happy with that extra feature! The monitor itself is super easy to set up and the camera part can pan, tilt and zoom which makes placement easy and makes seeing every part of the area baby is in perfectly. I also love the 15 foot night vision. It provides a clear picture during the day and during the night as well! This monitor also features a voice-activated, power saving sleep mode to conserve the battery usage. So far I have had absolutely no problem with the battery not staying charged. It has kept a good charge for several days at a time. When you do need to charge the monitor, it comes with the adapters to do so. You can add up to 3 additional cameras and view them all on the same monitor which is great for parents. I love this monitor and would love to get some additional cameras for my own personal use! Overall this monitor is great and had a lot of neat features that help make parents lives easier! Levana definitely makes a great monitor!
