About them: 1990 was when we sold our first delicious gourmet pizza in Burlington, Vermont. We expanded into South Burlington, Vermont and Portland, Maine. Along the way, we won People’s Choice Awards and the admiration of professional food writers and Yelp reviewers alike. And when everyone went crazy for home-baked pizzas a few years ago, we thought we’d make our sauces available to the amateurs out there. Since then, the Leonardo’s range of sauces and their rich, mouth-watering flavors have traveled the globe.
I had the pleasure of receiving some of Leonardo’s Pizza Sauce for review. I received a 16 oz jar of each of the following flavors: Chipotle, Asiago, Garlic and Original. We are huge pizza lovers in our house and love trying new sauces. These ones were an instant hit in our home! They are all natural with no added preservatives which makes them taste super fresh. They each have their own flavors and bring something different to each pizza you make. The Original is smooth and delicious. Taste like traditional pizza sauce. The Asiago is my youngest daughters favorite. It is very cheesy and delicious. My personal favorite is the Garlic. It is rich and has the perfect blend of garlic and spices that make it savory and delicious. It has a roasted flavor to it that I absolutely love. The Chipotle is great for those who love a bit of spice! It is sweet but has a kick to it! This was my room mates favorite. My kids are not into spicy foods but with the other toppings on the pizza were able to eat this just fine as well. It has a smokey flavor to it and is really good for pizzas with a kick! These are all delicious and taste super fresh. I love how convenient they are to just pop open and spread on your pizza crust. You get all the delicious flavor of making your pizza sauce from scratch but without all the hassle! These Leonardo‘s Pizza Sauce are all delicious and we will definitely be investing in more of them in our near future!
