Leap!

About them: Eleven-year-old orphan Félicie has one dream — to go to Paris and become a dancer. Her best friend, Victor, an imaginative, exuberant boy with a passion for creating, has a dream of his own — to become a famous inventor. In a leap of faith, Victor and Félicie leave their orphanage in pursuit of their passions. Determined to succeed, Félicie finds her mentor in the tough and mysterious school custodian, Odette, who, along with Victor’s encouraging friendship, help her reach for the stars.

My kids and I had the opportunity to receive a Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital HD copy of Leap! for review. It has a feature running time of 89 minutes and has quickly become one of my favorite animated films! We received our copy last week and have watched it over a dozen times already! Félicie and her lifetime orphanage friend Victor desperately seek a life outside the orphanage. Félicie wants to become a dancer in Paris and Victor wishes to become a famous inventor. Both come from nothing and have to break free and escape the orphanage to seek out their desires. Félicie ends up at a ballet school and pretends to be another girl named Camille to take her place in the Opera Ballet School and win a place in a show with another famous dancer. With the help of a custodian named Odette, she uses her passion and perseverance to push herself to become the dancer she has yearned to be her whole life. This is an excellent movie and I just love it! It teaches kids to reach for the stars and to go above and beyond to reach their dreams. It teaches that no matter where you come from or who you are, that you can build yourself up and make yourself the person you want to be. The special features include In the Recording Booth with Kate McKinnon, Nat Wolff and Mddie Ziegler and a Behind the Scenes Video Gallery. It is a great movie about passion, friendships and endurance and I highly recommend it! It came out on November 21st so if you don’t already own it, I definitely recommend adding it to your family movie collection!

Disclosure: I received this product for free, in exchange for my honest review, which may differ from yours. Regardless, I only recommend products and services I used personally, and believe will be a good fit for consumers.
