I have been wanting to get my year and a half old son a tricycle for quite some time but didn’t know if he was really old enough for one yet. When I saw the Joovy Tricycoo 4.1 Tricycle I knew it was the one that would be perfect for my son! It is for 10 months and up and for up to 44 pounds! It comes in a compact box and assembly is required. It didn’t take me more than 20 minutes to assemble it alone and that was with a toddler climbing all over me being impatient. The seat has three positions that grow with your child and the whole tricycle as a whole grows with your child as well. It has a sun shade canopy and a nice padded seat with a harness along with a guard that goes around the seat part to keep your little one safe and secure. As they grow all of these pieces can be removed. When you little one has balance and coordination they can use it as a standard tricycle.

Here is a more detailed description taken from the Joovy website for the different stages:

•  10m+ Push Trike Stage 1 you have full parent control with the adjustable and removable parent push handle. Baby sits in a padded seat with head support, surround arms and a 5-point harness for their comfort and safety. The extra-large canopy has multiple positions and is made of a 50 UPF fabric to keep the sun away.
•  18m+ Push Trike Stage 2 is the training mode which features a flip-down footrest. The pedals can be unlocked to freely swivel avoiding little legs and feet. The extra comfy seat pads can be removed and are machine washable.
•  24m+  Training Trike Stage 3 allows for the surround arms to be removed and baby can start pedal themselves with the large learning pedals. The Tricycoo 4.1 features a large 10” front wheel (larger than the competition) and quick-release 7.5” rear wheels for easier pedaling.
•  30m+ Trike Stage 4, has a 3-position adjustable seat to accommodate growing legs. The parent handle is removed completely for kid powered fun. A convenient bottle caddy and storage basket are perfect for take-alongs.

I just love it! It has a basket in the back and a cup holder in front which are also great features. It also has a second set of pedals for shorter legs. The front pedals can be locked or open depending on your preference too. The parent handle on the back is fully adjustable so its great for vertically challenged people like me and taller people. My daughter loves this feature because she can push her brother around too! It adjusts from 32.5 to 38 inches. He really loves it and it has been a great way to take walks with my son while my girls are at school. I look forward to being able to use this for a long long time and just love that it will grow with my son until he is ready for a standard bicycle! These come in pink and the blue like the one we received. This would make an amazing gift to your little one this Holiday Season and I highly recommend it!

Disclosure: I received this product for free, in exchange for my honest review, which may differ from yours. Regardless, I only recommend products and services I used personally, and believe will be a good fit for consumers.
