The first Friday every year is the National Day of Unplugging. It is a day to encourage stepping away from all electronics including phones, tablets, laptops, computers, video games, tvs and more and spend some time together as a family. This is important every day but for some this is hard. We received an IllumiCraft Light-Up! Journal to review and to feature for the National Day of Unplugging. It is for ages 8 and up but my 6 year old is very advanced for her age so I gave it to her. It came with a 50 page journal to decorate, 3 sticker sheets, 2 feet of conductive copper tape, a battery box with an included battery, decorative papers, sparkly foam pieces, a pack of 5 colored markers and an led ligh with decorative plastic rings. It included everything needed for my daughter to decorate her own journal. She loves crafting and she loves writing stories so this was absolutely perfect for her! The most awesome part about this is my daughter and I got to work together to build the circuits to get it to light up. It is a great way to engage your kids in learning about electrical engineering while making a great personalized journal. This was such a fun activity to do with my daughter and would make an exceptional activity this Friday for this years National Day of Unplugging! If you are looking for a fun, educational Craft that focuses on STEM learning, then this is the one for you! My daughter loves it and I highly recommend it!

Disclosure: I received this product for free, in exchange for my honest review, which may differ from yours. Regardless, I only recommend products and services I used personally, and believe will be a good fit for consumers.
