I received a copy of Ice Girls on DVD and Digital HD for review. It has a feature running time of 91 minutes and is rated PG. It is about a 15 year old girl named Mattie who is a figure skating champion. After she takes a bad fall on the ice and injures her knee, she believes her dreams of figure skating are over. Her mom moves her and her sister to a new town where she gets hired on as a teacher for young aspiring figure skaters. The man who hired her sees potential and starts getting her the rehabilitation she needs to continue figure skating. She becomes friends with a girl who ends up becoming her biggest competition in a figure skating championship. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this movie but I ended up loving it! It is a great family film that has a lot of great lessons about pursuing your dreams, friendships, sportsmanship and so much more! My kids and room mates enjoyed it as well. It is a heartwarming movie and I could not be happier with it! I think it is a must have for any family movie collection! It came available on October 4th so get your copy today!
