Plus, the built-in webcam and microphone makes it easy to video chat with family and friends. And a HDMI port lets you connect to an HD monitor, TV or projector. With a multi format media card reader, USB 3.0, and a 4-cell Lithium-ion battery for hours of use away from an outlet, this laptop is a good value for everyday mobile computing.HP has a ton of laptops, computers and more for everyone’s needs. I got the HP Pavilion 17-g133cl which is one of the pretty recent 2015 notebooks to hit the floor, Which you can find for $800 bucks give or take depending where you buy it at. Costco has it for $799 and then $699 for a limited time. I have reviewed the HP Envy in the past, which was another one of my favorites.

When you’re like me, and pretty much spend your life around your computer for your job, you need something that will last a long time. I previously reviewed the HP Envy, which started to crash in December 2015, and needed to find a replacement. The Envy would have hit 3 years in September 2015, but the video card started crashing and the fan is making weird noises and started to over heat. I pretty much spend my days and nights on the laptop for blogging, and working with media relations, laptops are not made to be used 15 hours a day give or take.

I love this laptop, it still has some same features as the Envy does, but has a ton more new ones. It comes with Windows 10. The speakers were replaced with B&O audio from Beats Audio since Apple took over beats. Though I actually like the B&O ones better, tons more customizing the sound, and more features built-in. This is a 17′ notebook, has a disk drive, like most notebooks don’t.

The keyboard is huge but sits comfortably when in use, the keyboard also lights up, and has all the functions you need in the palm of your hands, and the key pads are very quiet. The mouse is all one piece, no indents for the clicking part, just use it, like you would use a touch screen. This notebook is also a touch screen, and comes in handy for sure.

The lid closes nice and firmly, doesn’t have the slow shut to it, which I like better. The battery which is new to me, is long, but very thin, comes with options under it to unlock it out, and force a lock onto it, so know one can take it off. There is also a rubber thin bar at the front of it on the bottom to lift it off the table a bit, to help with the cooling. There is also a really neat feature that has an auto adjustment cooling system, so when you use it on your lap it adjust to the temperature it needs, and adjusts to any other positions you use the notebook with. There isn’t very many places on the bottom for the fans which is a huge improvement. The spot the charger goes into is on the left instead of the right which I LOVE the best, the disk drive is also on that side as well.

This is a great notebook, it has more features than a notebook would normally have, but if you’re like me, you need those extra features, without it being a laptop. Comes with 1T RAM which is sweet. Has camera/video on it as well, has a slot for SD cards, comes with 2 USB drive, HDMI, microphone jack, and much more. There is enough room around the outside your keyboard area, for your hands to sit on, and if you use a wireless mouse like I do, can easily sit on the base comfortably. The notebook itself is kind of heavy, but it all sits well secured. It doesn’t have an awesome video card for stronger in-depth graphics for games, but handles older games well, and still looks amazing. But you can still play newer games on it, but you will need to adjust the settings per game. This is a AMD10 rather than a iCore notebook. This is a great notebook for teens and adults to use, uses Windows 10 which by the way is way better than W8/8.1. So if you’re in the market for a notebook, but want the bigger screen and bigger keyboard be sure to try this one out at a local Costco or Best Buy.
