The Glass Castle

About them: Chronicling the adventures of an eccentric, resilient and tight-knit family, The Glass Castle is a remarkable story of unconditional love. Larson brings Jeannette Walls’s best-selling memoir to life as a young woman who, influenced by the joyfully wild nature of her deeply dysfunctional father (Harrelson), found the fiery determination to carve out a successful life on her own terms.

I absolutely adored the book so I was extremely excited to hear they were making The Glass Castle into a movie. I was even more excited when I received a Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital HD copy of The Glass Castle for review. It has a feature running time of 127 minutes and is PG-13 rated. Jeannette is a very successful business woman that grew up very poor. Her childhood was a bit crazy with her father who was a free spirited man, and her aspiring artist mom. Her father became erratic so Jeannette and her siblings had to pull themselves up out of the ashes and create a life for themselves and who they wanted to be. Jeannette goes back in time as she remembers all her families wild and crazy adventures. This movie is phenomenal! It is packed with emotions so strong it pulls you right into the story as though you are right there experiencing it for yourself. The special features include deleted scenes, scoring The Glass Castle, the Making of “Summer Storm” by Joel P West and more! I absolutely love the ending because it shows real pictures of the actual people in real life and videos. It is a great movie and I am so happy to have it in my collection! I also received a Paint By Numbers Canvas that features the car and family from The Glass Castle. I have not yet been able to have some time to myself to paint it yet, but I am pretty excited about it! The Glass Castle came out on DVD November 7th so get your copy today! It will make a great gift for your loved ones this year for Christmas!

Disclosure: I received this product for free, in exchange for my honest review, which may differ from yours. Regardless, I only recommend products and services I used personally, and believe will be a good fit for consumers.
