About them: In 2014 Justin Comparetto and his grandpa Joe launched their own retail brand label, Giusto Sapore, (joos-stǒ sa-ṕo-ṝe) Italian for Just the Right Flavor and word-play on the company name. Justin is company president with Ryan as vice president for this jointly-owned family business. They recently doubled their warehouse to accommodate future growth as they continue to expand their distribution area. Sadly, in April 2016, Joe had a sudden heart attack and passed away. Yet his wisdom and many business lessons will guide the young entrepreneurs for years to come.
I had the pleasure of trying out some Giusto Sapore products. I received an 8.5 fl oz bottle of Giusto Sapore Strawberry Sweet Fruit Vinegar, an 8.5 fl oz bottle of Giusto Sapore Italian Caprese Glaze with Basil and an 8.5 fl oz bottle of Giusto Sapore Authentic Balsamic of Modena. The Strawberry Sweet Fruit Vinegar was my personal favorite of the three. It was made from real strawberry juice and went amazing on fruit, on salads and to make a glaze for ice cream. I made an amazing baby spinach and strawberry salad with onions and this was perfect as a dressing on top! It is perfect for marinades too! The Authentic Balsamic of Modena was a more traditional balsamic vinegar. This one was great for cooking, as a marinade and as a dressing. It had the traditional flavor that was rich and delicious. The Caprese Glaze with Basil was on the thicker side and went really well with salads too. It has that classic Italian taste that everyone loves. I loved putting this on my salads with tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. My kids just gobbled it up! These are all great to use in cooking recipes, as marinades, salad dressings, glazes and more and I highly recommend them if you are looking for great tasting vinegars!
