About Them: Susan Petersen started making baby moccasins in 2009 after becoming frustrated by the lack of well-designed baby shoes. Using her second child, Gus, as a mocc-tester, and a bag of scrap leather she picked up at a yard sale, she began experimenting with designs. Working at her kitchen table, on a shoestring budget, Susan persisted through some disastrous attempts until she had created a pair of moccasins that not only looked adorable on Gus’ chubby little feet, but stayed on his feet as well.Freshly Picked Moccasins, Since then, the moccasins have gone through about six design changes. Each change has perfected the look and the fit of the soft-soled shoe.
These shoes are super adorable. They only go to size 10, most their shoes are intended for 10 and below. So older toddler don’t get to enjoy these cute shoes. Luckily my special needs guy still fits in this size at 6, hes a little dude for his age. They are soft, easy on and off, they stay put pretty well, and don’t fall off. They are great shoes for the warmer seasons, and not so much for rainy cold seasons to play in, unless it’s indoors. The cute bag they come with great for storage when not being used which helps for dust and moths. I will be having a fun western photo-shoot coming up with showing these off, but its next week. Thought I’d share the cuteness of them anyways. They have a wide variety for girls, and a few for boys. Lots of cute shoes to choose from! They are durable, material is strong, not much rubber on the bottom and soft around the feet!
