Wonder Forge Toys

About them: In 2007, Jacobe Chrisman (Founder & CEO) and a small group of creative types with a passion for children’s entertainment came together to develop extraordinarily fun, original play experiences for kids and families. The preschool titles celebrate the “can do” attitude in all kids—engaging them physically, socially, and creatively. The family games bridge generation gaps and create wholesome family moments and lasting memories. Today Wonder Forge makes over 85 games that have won more than 160 of the industry’s top awards for product excellence. They are sold nationwide and in over 11 countries.

20151208_183001-1My kids and I had the pleasure of receiving the Disney Imagicademy Storymation Studio Stop Motion Movie Kit for review. It is f or ages 4 and up but even my 3 year old had a blast with it. It does require an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to play with so that was the only problem we ran into. Once we had access to one of those it was super easy to use and super fun to play with. The kit itself comes with 8 Backdrops and Stages from Disney Classics, 18 Costume Clay Molds, 6 Tubs of Colorful Modeling Clay, 2 Posable Disney Character Armatures, 36 Paper Characters, 2 Animated Wands, 1 Stage and Storage Case and 1 Tablet Stand. After you download the free app, your kids can use the clay, figures or paper characters to pose and create their own movies. The app itself is easy to follow and provides hours of entertainment for the kids. My oldest especially loved making her own movies. My youngest helped by making all the characters and that kept her pretty busy! I love how everything stores right inside the case and that the clay molds are part of the case itself making clean up easy! Definitely a great toy and perfect for inspiring your children to use their creativity and imagination!

20151208_182707-1We also received the Space Hawk game by Ravensburger. This toy is geared for kids ages 8 and up. First you download the free app to your mobile device and follow the easy to use instructions to set the game up. You are the captain in your own adventure to save the galaxy. You just put your phone in the Space Hawk and fly it around to different game boards around the room or house. Once there you scan the game board to find new missions and such that come to life on your phone. It is up to you and your crew to work together to save the galaxy through many obstacles and challenges. The graphics are pretty good and even though it is a video game of sorts it keeps your kids up and moving which as a mom, I love. You can get expansion kits to add to it as well. It is a great, interactive toy definitely meant for kids over 8. My little sister and child loved this. It kept them both entertained for hours until my phone died and then they waited for my phone to charge before they wanted to play some more. This is a great toy for kids who like adventure and interactive play!

20151208_182723-1Disclosure: I received these products for free, in exchange for an honest review, which may differ from yours. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I used personally, and believe will be a good fit for consumers.
