I had the pleasure of receiving a Blu-Ray and Digital HD copy of The Finest Hours for review. It has a feature run time of 117 minutes and is based on a true story. This is an action thriller based off the true story of the greatest small-boat rescue in Coast Guard history. A huge storm rips an oil tanker ship in half off Cape Cod, trapping over 30 sailors on the stern. The ship is rapidly sinking and so Captain Bernie Webber and his crew must set out in a 12 seat rescue boat, risking their own lives, to save them. This movie is all about honor, faith and courage and keeps you interested during the entire movie! It is loaded with action and super intense. I absolutely loved this film. I have watched it several times already and can’t get enough of it. I think it is awesome to watch a movie that portrays and brings a real life event to life in front of your eyes. The bonus features are awesome too. They include The Bernie Webber Story, deleted scenes, and much more! My favorite bonus feature is What Is Your Finest Hour where a coast guard recounts the actual rescue. This movie is great and I highly recommend it if you like action, adventure and thrilling movies! The Finest Hours is a must have for any movie collection! It came out everywhere on May 24th!
