Spring is the perfect time to clean up the clutter and dust that accumulates over winter and set yourself up for a productive remainder of the year! Tackle your project with the following three-step formula from Laura Stack, aka The Productivity Pro. Prepare for a spring cleaning spree. Start by labeling five large boxes: Put Away, Give Away, Store Away, Shred, and Trash. Select an area, such as a drawer, desk, or room to organize first. Use a timer. Don’t view spring cleaning as an all-day task. Take an hour here and there to get the job done over several weekends. When you’re ready to begin, set your timer for 50 minutes. When it buzzes, use the last ten minutes of your organization session to handle the boxes: put things away, place charity items in the car, put items in storage, shred and toss out the trash.

She has some really great tips on how to spring clean your office at work or home. This is a really nice $159 shredder. The canister that holds the shreds is huge and holds over 50 shreds at a time. It will beep to let you know it needs to be emptied or push it down. It can shred paper, cards, and CD’s just fine as well. You can put 12 sheets of thin paper in it, and will shred them in under 5 minutes, but I was able to in under a minute. Its quick, fast, not to loud, easy to manage, it’s thin so it stores away against a wall nicely, away from your walking area. Its a nice shredder and works great for any paper, newspaper, and more.
