I have a set of Motorola Radios and so I knew with Father’s Day coming up that I had to get my dad a set for when he goes camping, hiking, fishing and hunting. He likes to go with family or friends but we never have a good way to communicate. My kids love to use ours when they go to the neighbors house to check in with me so I just knew the Motorola Talkabout T600 Radios would be a good gift for my dad for Father’s Day this year. I was pretty excited when we received them to review and include in our Father’s Day gift guide and I was even more excited when my dad loved them! The Motorola Talkabout T600 Radios retail for around $119.99 and are worth every penny! The box comes with two radios, two belt clips, two rechargeable batteries and a charging adapter. They also came with easy to read and follow instructions. My dad first tried these out when he went hiking up in the mountains and the range was absolutely crazy fantastic! They go up to 35 miles so we could reach him from the foothills to the peak of mount pilchuck! They are waterproof and even though my dad has not allowed them to be submerged in water he has used them in the rain with no issues. They are supposed to be able to go under water up to one meter for up to 30 minutes but he has not tested this out. They float too which is nice in case you or your loved one is out on the water and drops them. If they do fall into the water they have a water activated flashlight to help you locate them right away. They have a built in flashlight you can use when not in water too which is a nice feature. They also feature 22 channels with 121 privacy codes and can receive the weather report. You can also push a button and have an emergency distress call made for you! This is awesome for when my dad is out alone! I love this safety feature. He really loves these and it really puts my mom and my minds at ease when he is out and about alone. They can be charged in an outlet or you can use charge them via vehicle adapter, computer or a power bank. These Motorola Talkabout T600 Radios are just great and my dad loves them! I love the ones we have but these offer so many other features that I love so I may have to upgrade to these ones as well!
