When Ronna was a young girl, she would visit her cousins in the countryside. She and her cousins would dance into the woods, and her cousins would ask Ronna and her brother to close their eyes so the fairies could create some magic. When they opened their eyes, the siblings were delighted by gifts of shiny pebbles and pretty flower petals. They would take these treasures home and place them in their own fairy gardens. My girls are in that magical age where they still believe in mythical creatures and magic. They are 4 and 6 years old and get excited when they see the light reflection shining on the ceiling or whatnot and think it is a fairy coming to visit them. We recently added a fairy door to one of our trees and we were super excited to add a fairy garden around it. When I had the opportunity to review some Flower Fairies Secret Garden products from Fairy Homes and Gardens I was pretty excited. My girls were even more excited than I was. We received some Landscape Moss, a Buttercup Fairy, a Flower Bowl like thing, a Mailbox with mail, and some Plants. I have to say these are pretty cool little pieces and really added to the area around my girls fairy door. Each figurine is 1.6 inches to 3.6 inches tall and made from a nice durable plastic that is made for being indoors and outdoors. We only received a few pieces of the 23 piece collection so we can’t wait to buy more and include them in our magical fairy garden. They bring the 1920s Flower Fairies artwork and stories by Cicely Mary Barker to life. They have more fairy figurines and tons of accessories like stepping stones, fairy doors, planter kits and accessories. These are a great way to nurture your childs imagination and creativity and we just love them!
