When I did my first review with them back in 2011 now they didn’t have all the cool new things they do now. It was just package of hair dye but in a salon type but at home. Now they have all these awesome “The Match Up” sets to purchase.
I got the Match-Up, Color Safe Smoothing Conditioner, Color Safe Smoothing Shampoo, Nourishing Hair Mask, Color Illuminating Shine Spray, Hair Styling Lotion. They set me up with $45 dollar credit and went through the steps for finding your The Match Up just right for you. You get three products in the set, though you can add-on two more with saving 25%. So thats what I ended up doing.
The Color Safe Smoothing Conditioner lets just say smells amazing for sure. With my hair type I usually end up using up the conditioner way faster than the shampoo. With this brand I only needed a little bit and was able to cover all my hair. With someone having thick curly hair I tend to use more. The formula is perfect for me, and spread around perfectly for me. I love this conditioner by the way, smells amazing, makes my hair so soft and shiny, seals my hair dye perfectly without stripping all the hair dye, leaving me with a shine, smooth, nourished hair I can’t stop touching.
The Color Safe Smoothing Shampoo is great as well, lathers up very fast and thick. Smells amazing to. Works great for normal hair dye, but with funky colored hair dye it will pull a ton of it out. Though it will bring your hair to a very healthy and clean feeling hair. I only needed a palms worth of the hair dye and it worked out great. Washed out fast for being lathered and thick in the hair. Also brushed out well, if you’re one those people like me who tend to brush their hair while the shampoo is in to make sure you got every strand. Love this shampoo, makes your hair shiny, smooth, healthy, and feeling light weight.
The Nourishing Hair Mask is my favorite. I love deep conditioning products because I live in a state where I need it, also having thick curly hair I need all the deep conditioning I can get. This is a white cream kind, says to leave it in for 15 minutes at most. However I leave it in all day. The one container was used in one use, because my hair type so I made sure to make it worth it. After I washed it out, my hair was so silky smooth, shiny, healthy, nourished, and smelling so good. Lasted in my hair for well over a week-long, which is pretty good compared to others. My husband even couldn’t stop touching it, was amazing.
The Color Illuminating Shine Spray is great to use after using a flat-iron, or after using mouse to plump up my curls. The spray is soft feeling, smells pretty good, though a mild smell, but you can still smell it throughout the day. I only needed to use it twice in one day and my hair was shiny and pretty.
The Hair Styling Lotion is great for when people have fly away’s, or lose hairs in their curls. I love using this on my fly away’s or when I needed a quick updo or ponytail before heading out. It does harden a bit, and has a light tint of shimmer in it. Also love the smell of it, so amazing really. The lotion was a great add-on to this set for sure.
All in all this was a fun exciting set to try out, everything worked out great, I have had mine for few weeks now, and still have plenty to use for a month except the deep conditioner. Everything smells good. Nourishes your hair making it very healthy feeling, let alone the shine, and softness it also brings to your hair. Great set for anyone.
