Egalite Wine Review

about-bottleAbout Them: Introduced in January 2013, Égalité is the first nationally-distributed wine created in support of LGBT equality in the United States and around the world. Meaning ‘Equality,’ the name Égalité is both a reflection of the wine’s French origin and a celebration of equality for gay Americans. This exquisite Crémant from the Burgundy region of France offers hints of peach and honey blossom on the palate, with a clean, dry finish found only in the finest Champagnes.

Egalite sure is some fancy wine, from France. I finally cracked this baby open, because my friend came over for our Thursday night girl night and what I had left from my stockpile of wine. This is one those corks that will fly right off, and I forbid to open any of those wines, those corks scare me, like I will break a window or my face something like that anyways. This wine is so good, you can taste the peach right off the back. We both tried it as is, and then tried it with the mango juice. This is great wine both ways, warm or cold. Like me I love wine warm and it was so delish. This is like a chardonnay and with sparkling in it. This is pretty good wine I would say between middle and top shelf. We drank the bottle and neither of us had a headache. I never tried wine outside the US in such a long time, I have forgotten how great it tastes for sure. If you’re one those people who love wine that is unique and different from your normal kind this is right up your alley.
