My kids received a copy of Cuckoo!, a children’s book written by Fiona Roberton for review. My girls are 4 and 6 and love being read to. Now that my 6 year old is reading, she enjoys reading to me and her siblings which is nice. This children’s book is absolutely perfect for early readers! It is easy to read and follow. It is a fun story about a baby bird that hatches and all is good until they realize he is different. He doesn’t sing the same song they do and they can not understand each other. He flies the nest and sets off on an adventure to find someone like him. He flies from place to place and cant find anyone like him so tries to learn the language of others. That fails so he continues on his journey until he hears someone he understands! It is a boy and they understand each other perfectly. They are both happy and that is where the story ends. My girls love the story and they adore the illustrations in this book. It is fun and a great story and my kids and I definitely recommend it if you have little ones at home that love to read or be read to. It is a perfect children’s book for any collection!
