Crayola Crayon Factory

About them: Our company has inspired artistic creativity in children for more than 100 years – since the first box of Crayola crayons rolled off the assembly line in 1903. Since then, the Crayola brand has grown into a portfolio of innovative art tools, crafting activities, and creative toys that give kids the power to express all that inspires them as they explore, discover, play, pretend, and dream.

My kids and I had the pleasure of receiving a Crayon Factory from Crayola to review and include in our holiday gift guide. It is for ages 8 and up and comes with 3 crayon molds, a crayon wrapper ripper, instructions, a crayon factory, a transformer and 8 crayons to get you started. I have a 4 and 6 year old so did this with them but I would even recommend adult supervision for older kids as well. To make your own multicolored crayons you simply cut the wrappers off the crayons you want to use. Now you can use the ones that come with it but I also found that using my girls broken crayons was a great way of recycling them! After you cut the wrappers off them, you drop the crayons into the top chamber in any order or color scheme you wish. Pick one of the three molds to use. There is a car, puppy and heart to choose from. Put your mold in the center chamber. The crayons that you put in the top melt and go into the mold. After the crayons cool you open up your mold and you have a new multicolored and fun shaped crayon to color with! My girls absolutely love making their own unique crayons. They even went as far as making unique crayons for their friends at school and their family for Christmas gifts this year! The Crayon Factory is a fun toy and my kids love it! It would make a great gift this Christmas!

Disclosure: I received this product for free, in exchange for my honest review, which may differ from yours. Regardless, I only recommend products and services I used personally, and believe will be a good fit for consumers.
