My kids and I had the opportunity to build and review a Build-a-Bot by Colorific. It is recommended for ages 5 and up though from 5 to 7 they more than likely will need help. When we first opened the box, my kids were a bit overwhelmed by the 20 plus pieces. Each of these pieces were all numbered and the instructions were easy to read and follow so it was fairly easy to assemble. It came with everything your kids needs to build their own little bot. We received the Fox Build-a-Bot and it was a blast to assemble and even more fun to play with afterwards. It took my kids a couple tries to make sure all the pieces were through the proper pins before all the limbs worked but that was part of the fun! They got a good introduction to robotics which was an awesome learning opportunity for them. After it was assembled we put in two AA batteries and it was good to go. It walks around when you put its bone to its mouth. It has an on and off setting so you don’t waste your batteries when not playing with it as well. It also came with a build certificate that you can fill out for your kid after they are done building it and a sticker sheet so they can decorate it. It was a super fun toy to build and my kids just love playing with it. Colorific has three characters total so far that include a Bunny, Dino and this Fox and you can build them as they are or mix and match pieces from different sets to build your own creation. My kids are already begging to get the other two characters so I see more Build-a-Bots in our near future! If you are looking for a fun and educational toy that focuses on STEM learning for your kids then Build-a-Bot is a good choice! You can purchase it at walmart or online! Build-a-Bot by Colorific will be available at Walmart (US only) on July 31th and retails for $19.99.
