About them: EES, Inc. (Effective Environmental Systems), manufactures, packages and distributes BugBand insect repellents. The company, based in Cartersville, Georgia, was formed in 1990 by Dan Ritter as a manufacturer of odor-control products for industrial and institutional markets. With its decades of experience developing odor-control products, EES, Inc., partnered with the University of Florida, Gainesville, which was undertaking a long-term study on the effectiveness of Geraniol as an insect repellent. EES is now the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of products using the patented technology under the BugBand brand.
When the weather gets warmer we tend to want to spend more time outdoors. Unfortunately we aren’t the only ones that like this heat. The bugs come out with the heat too. Whether you are outside working in the yard, camping, fishing, hiking, playing outside, having a picnic, or just spending time with your family outdoors those pesky bugs just won’t stay away. I for one do not like getting bit up by gnats and mosquitoes and I really hate when my kids get bitten up. I am always hesitant to use any chemicals around or on my kids so I was pretty excited to try these BugBand products. I received two BugBand Wristbands, three BugBand Insect Repellent Bead Bags and five BugBand Insect Repellent packs of Wipes. The Wristbands are great and my favorite for my kids to wear. You just put them on loosely and they can wear them on their wrist or ankle. You can also attach it to their pants, backpack or wherever else. We used them the other day when we went over to our friends BBQ and neither one of my girls got bit once and the mosquitoes were pretty thick at my friends house. When we were done using them we put them in a Tupperware to use again at my parents house on the 4th of July. They last up to 120 hours and as long as you keep them in an airtight container when not in use they work great again and again! I used the wipes on my son and one on my friends baby and neither one of them got bit at all. The wipes came with two in a single pack so one pack covered both of the babies. They smell great and don’t leave any film or greasy feel on the skin. The Wristbands and Wipes are both child safe which is perfect for my kids. The Insect Repellent Bead Bags are pretty cool and we used them in my friends gazebo. You just open the bag and set in a ventilated area. It keeps all the bugs free and clear from that area which is nice. You can put it near your fans and ac units too to keep bugs away as well. These are all deet free which is awesome. They are all long lasting and protect against mosquitoes, flies, gnats, no-see-ums, fleas and other insects! I am looking forward to using these BugBand Products all summer long when we go to BBQs, Picnics, Camping and more!
