About them: What you should know about us, is we’re three sisters-in-law, brought together not only by our husbands, but also our LOVE of reading. We’re passionate about building our own libraries and our children’s love of reading. Bookroo is our little way of helping other families do the same.
My kids and I love to read. Whether we are reading together as a family or individually, we appreciate adding new books to our collection. When I heard about Bookroo, I knew I had to give them a try. I was excited when I found out I was getting the opportunity to review them! So when we got our box from Bookroo, it came with two individually gift wrapped books. I let each of my girls open one and they just loved it! It made getting a book that much more special to them. They ended up getting Land Shark by Beth Ferry. It is about a boy who wants a shark more than anything in the world. He ends up getting a puppy and she is everything but a shark, but finds her way into his heart in the end. It is a fun book that my girls have loved reading again and again. It is illustrated by Ben Mantle and it was a good addition to my kids library. The next one was Rock-A-Bye Room by Susan Meyers and illustrated by Amy Bates. This one is a great bed time story! A mom and her daughter say goodnight to all the things in her daughters room. It is a soothing book that has nice rhymes and beautiful water colors and my kids want me to read it to them almost every night before bed. This one was also a great addition to their library. We were extremely happy with our monthly Bookroo box and I think the idea of having a monthly subscription box for kids books was an awesome idea! It is such a fun and creative way to inspire young kids to read and enjoy books more and I highly recommend them if you are looking to expand your kids library!
