Bailey Bloom and the Battle of the Bug

About the Author: “Jill Rosensweig is a civil litigation attorney and the host of a weekly legal podcast called The Whole Truth with Jill Rosensweig. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, their two children, and their favorite furry friend.”

My children and I had the pleasure of receiving a copy of Bailey Bloom and the Battle of the Bug to read and review. It is a paperback book that is written by Jill Rosensweig and beautifully illustrated by Judy Elizabeth Wilson. I honestly didn’t know what to think about it since it is a children’s book about the Corona Virus and we are living it daily but my kids and I really enjoyed it! The story is about a group of friends that pretend to be superheros every day. Then the virus hits and everything is shut down so they decide to deliver groceries for the elderly who are more at risk and draw pictures to bring joy to the neighbors. It is a super cute story and I felt like it was a great uplifting story for the time period in which we are living. My kids loved the rhyming and brightly colored pictures. After they read the story they wanted to draw pictures for our neighbors which was super sweet. I loved the messages the book delivered to the kids and it was overall a super fun read.
