I have been dying to get a food saver for years but it was just never a top priority. Lately I have been trying to cut down on food waste and save money so I have been looking for a good quality Food Storage Vacuum Sealer. I have seen a lot but was fortunate enough to receive the Avalon Bay FoodSealer300S Vacuum Sealer for Food Storage System for review and to include in our Holiday Gift Guide. It has been such a nifty gadget to keep in my kitchen. When I go to the grocery store I know I can now buy in bulk then portion it out for what we will use per meal. I can also preserve soups, breads and more now whereas I couldn’t before! Using it is easy, you simply take it out of the box, plug it in and its ready to go. It comes with five BPA-free starter bags which is nice and you can purchase other BPA free bags when you run out of the starter bags. It has an awesome control panel that I love. It has an automatic setting that seals with the touch of one button. You can use the pulse setting for softer foods like breads and muffins and you can change the speed from high to low and change it from a dry or moist setting. These two settings are awesome because if you are sealing soup or something with broth, it won’t suck all the juice out! It also features a bag roll dispenser with an integrated cutter so you can make your own sizes of bags. This is a nice feature too. I love using this feature when individually wrapping my chicken breasts for lunches and dinners. It is much less wasteful to make smaller sized bags. This food vacuum sealer keeps food fresh longer than just putting them in freezer bags and makes portioning much easier! I absolutely love my Avalon Bay FoodSealer300S Vacuum Sealer for Food Storage System and I just ordered another for my mom for Christmas because I know she will love it as much as I do!
