First Alert Review

About Them: Packing all the power of an advanced photoelectric smoke alarm into a miniature design, the new First Alert Atom alarm weighs less than two ounces and is available in a number of decorative finishes – including wood grain, stainless steel and bronze. It also features revolutionary micro technology with an advanced smoke entry system for fewer false alarms, and a loud, penetrating siren to reach the whole home.

First Alert new sleek smoke alarm like the size of a shot glass maybe little bit bigger. This is very discreet, small, hides well, and easy to use. Simply place batteries and place in a room. Of course don’t place in the kitchen as it will go off all the time, which why you never see any in a kitchen. We place ours in the garage since we don’t really have one down there, just on the other side. It’s done very well. It’s only been off once in the middle of the night, because of a wind storm and the heater triggered it, we have yet figured out why, but hey least is works and is very loud, it will wake you up quickly. Its easy to shut it off, and keeps to itself most the time. October being safety month and all, this is a great remembrance to place fresh batteries and check to make sure your detectors work. I still can’t get over how small it is, don’t let it fool you of course.
