About them: It all started when Rob and I were training for a triathlon. There weren’t a lot of snacks out there that Rob could eat to fuel on the go. So I began baking nut free granola bars at home. Then we shared them with friends, and friends of friends who don’t even have allergies. And we realized maybe we had something. 88 Acres is named after the size of my family’s farm in North Brookfield, Massachusetts, where I learned about food.
My kids and I had the pleasure of receiving some 88 Acres Farm-Raised Bars for review. We received three Apple & Ginger, three Chocolate & Sea Salt and three Triple Berry bars. They were all 1.6 oz each and completely gluten, GMO, and nut free. Our family loves bars of all sorts but finding healthy ones that my kids like is not always easy. These ones are healthy and my kids love them! They are delicious! Neither my kids nor myself have any food allergies but we do have some really good friends that have severe nut allergies so when we go to play dates we have to be super careful that the food we pack has not even been processed in a company that has nuts. These have been great to take along to those play dates and we have even been able to share with our friends with those nut allergies which has been nice. It is great to know they are completely free from the bigger known allergens. My kids love them, I love them and all our friends who have tried them love them. The Apple & Ginger is sweet and delicious. The Chocolate & Sea Salt is Rich and my kids favorite It will satisfy any chocolate craving you have. My personal favorite is the Triple Berry. It has the sweetness of the berries but keeps a lot of the seed variety flavors. It is mouth watering! They are all really good but that is my favorite of the bunch. They have great flavor and great texture! If you are looking for a good, healthy snack to have on hand at home or on the go then these are perfect for you! They would also make a great Father’s Day gift for your food loving dad!
