Combining the same technology Google uses in its self driving car (SLAM) and Neato’s own patented laser scanning system, Neato robots continuously map a room in real time while calculating the most efficient cleaning path. Moving in methodical straight lines instead of bouncing randomly around a room, the robot moves from room to room. Neato knows when to return to its base for recharging plus it is smart enough to return to the exact spot where it left off to finish the job.
I spent a long time researching for robot vacuums and ultimately decided this would be a great vacuum to have in my home. The price is very reasonable compared to other robot vacuums. The features intrigued me and it seemed like it would suit my lifestyle. Something like this would help me have time to do other chores, or just relax. Vacuuming can take up a lot of time out of your day. Boy was I right in choosing this particular one! This robot can do just about anything! It has so many different features, more than I can even name or come up with…Some include: a charging station, can clean on many different surfaces, cleans in corners and under tables/chairs, vacuums at a great pace, returns to charger when done, can identify large objects and vacuum around them, lifts up body to make sure to get into hard reached places, and picks up quarter sized garbage or dirt. Don’t forget if the charge is low and vacuum isn’t finished, it will remember where it stopped last and return once it is fully charged. It can vacuum for a pretty long time (an hour or more) and it doesn’t take long to charge. You need to download the NEATO APP, which is very easy to do. Once the vacuum is charged up and you have the app ready to go, then you can Name your robot, set up timed cleanings and you’re ready to sit down and relax! Did I mention that this robot isn’t loud and the quality is impeccable? I use this vacuum every day and look forward to using it for years to come. Having two little kids in the house makes this Botvac D3 Connected a MUST for my household. I will rave about this thing to my family and friends for sure!
