Masala Pop

About them: We make our Indian-spiced popcorn by hand in Portland, Oregon using the finest ingredients. We start by air-popping organic, non-GMO corn. Then we add authentic Indian spices, such as turmeric, mustard seeds, cardamom and garam masala to just the right amounts of mindful, non-hydrogenated oils and sweeteners, such as pure organic coconut oil, high oleic sunflower oil and organic coconut sugar. Then we combine it all with tasty tidbits, such as papadums and toasted sesame seeds. The result: an all-natural, whole-grain, fiber-rich, gluten-free, delectable vegan/vegetarian snack that’s truly special and highly addictive—in a good way!

I am not a huge fan of a lot of the classic Indian spices so did not really know what to expect when I was asked to review Masala Pop. After trying the three flavors I was sent I was completely in love with them! I received a 4 oz bag of Chai Masala, a 4 oz bag of Tamarind Sesame and a 2.5 oz bag of Savory Masala. The Chai Masala was the first one my household tried and fell in love. It has assam tea, coconut sugar and warming spices that make it sweet and savory. The Tamarind Sesame was the next one we tried and it was a complete 360 from the first bag! It has a kick to it and is made with lentil chips, coconut sugar and spicy garam masala. My kids devoured this one! They loved the spice it had. I loved it as well but am not a huge spice fan so could not eat a bunch of it at once. The flavor was amazing though! The Savory Masala was the last one and really enjoyed as well. It has a bit of spice but not as much as the Tamarind Sesame. It had lentil chips in it, turmeric and spicy masala. These are all great snacks and definitely one of a kind. I love that they are natural and have real ingredients. I also love that they have a reclosable bag which makes snacking easier. These three flavors were all great and we really enjoyed them! If you are looking for a nice new snack to eat, give Masala Pop a try!

Disclosure: I received these products for free, in exchange of my honest review, which may differ from yours. Regardless, I only recommend products and services I used personally, and believe will be a good fit for consumers.
