I’m just old school enough that I can remember the original instant cameras and square photos when they were around the first time. And boy did we think they were cool back then. Little did we know what was to come and how much better they would one day be. I recently received an instax SQUARE SQ10 from Fujifilm and I am still in awe at all of it’s capabilities. Not only can you instantly print a square photo that transforms right before your eyes, you now can even save, edit, and print your photo any time - and as many times as you like. It’s like a digital camera gone..well….squared! For those of us like myself that saw the original instant square photos this is still a whole new ballgame. Before we just had to snap..and pray the photo we took was going to turn out right the first time. Now you can see your photo in full color on the LCD monitor before you decide to print it. And if you so choose you can even edit the photo with fun filters and other controls. Let me tell you its a lot more fun than it’s ancestor.
The other nice thing about this camera is the size. It’s nice and compact and fits in the palm of your hand making it super easy to toss in your purse and use on the go. I actually let my daughter take this one with her to school to take photos with her friends at an after school dance. Everyone thought she was so cool being able to take AND print photos off right there at the dance. And thanks to the internal memory card I get to see all the photos she took and how much fun she had. I just can’t say enough good things about this camera!
