I have never really thought of it-we don’t currently do anything but put some things in our file cabinet.
Sadly, we just store them in cardboard boxes.
I do not have a secure place to place my valuables or documents. They are all over the house.

We don’t keep them anywhere outside at present. Just inside our cupboards. This safety storage security box would be ideal!
Papers and important documents I have scanned and keep in Dropbox so I can access them anywhere.
