About Them: Each vintage, this wine presents a unique opportunity to tell the story of the Napa Valley. Winemaker Michael Beaulac carefully selects prime fruit from distinct lots within Pine Ridge’s five estate vineyards, located across Napa Valley’s five top AVA’s – Stags Leap District, Rutherford, Oakville, Howell Mountain, and Carneros – to create a complex and balanced wine.
Pine Ridge Vineyards sent me two bottles of the Cab selection. I am a huge wine lover, more so of trying out wine and finding the ones I love the best more so of. The 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (SRP: $54). Is such a high priced wine, of course you can find them at certain stores knocked down for a few bucks at certain stores I am sure, I have yet seen it located anywhere. It is only 2010 so its only about 4 years old, the flavor is very smooth, I usually drink my wine warm, I don’t favor cold wine as much. The wine is great of course cold or room temperature or even with some wine ice cubes in a glass, however way you like to drink wine. This one is like a fruit blend and tastes very good. When you swirl it in the glass you can see it stay on the glass while slowly dripping down which means good wine. When drinking it, or drinking it with some cheese and crackers, and you take a sip and you feel the wine in your eye’s like you do this one, means it’s top shelf and very good. It does have a wood cork and you can simply place back in when done. The percentage is over 13% so of course drink wisely. You can cook this wine in food, drink with steak, drink it with soft cheese and crackers, or if you’re a mom like me, and need a wind down this is right up your alley!
